Road Rides
Tripleshot road rides are our bread and butter, and most of the routes have been the same for many years–it’s part of their charm!

Tuesday Box Sprints
This is one of the most popular Tripleshot rides. After a brief warmup, the route does laps around the Uplands Golf Course (“the box”), with a sprint section at the end of the 2nd and 4th laps and a regrouping after. After 4 laps, the route heads into the Uplands to finish along the Dallas Road waterfront and finish with laps of Beacon Hill Park.

Saturday Explorations
Adventurous, variable routes that change every week!
Hilly routes with 900m-1500m of climbing. Intended as a no-drop ride, but riders should be comfortable in a B1 group. There are no attacks, and we tend to keep the group together and wait on hill tops. Come join the adventure and get a great workout, too!
Start Time: 7:30 am (8:30 am in winter)
Meetup: Cook St @ Oliphant Rd (Cook St Village)
Sunday Social
Sunday rides are social rides and Tripleshot’s strength lies in our ‘socialness’. Sunday is our chance to mix, catch up with our other friends in the club, and offer to ride with people we don’t usually meet during the week. If you’re a fast rider, use it as a chance to mentor and lead out slower riders in the sprints.
Start time: 7:30 am

Our road rides are defined by pace, with A being the fastest and C the slowest. Group speeds vary with the seasons: summer rides are generally faster than winter rides.
‘C’ rides are no-drop rides. This is the ride for anyone who is not in a hurry and enjoys riding at a casual pace. It also works well for faster riders who want a recovery day. The pace and the setting are friendly, and no one will be left on their own.
Average speed ~21-23 km/h
‘B’ rides are no-drop rides and get progressively faster as the numbers count down: B1 is fastest B3 is slowest. B rides regroup after uphills and sprints. B1 tends to use a rotating paceline, while B2 and B3 use a two-up formation.B3 average speed ~24-26 km/h
B2 average speed ~25-27 km/h
B1 average speed ~28-32 km/h
‘A’ rides are drop rides (no waiting, often race-like). A1 has a consistently hard pace and is a solid training ride for club members who want to race or just ride hard. The A2 ride is slightly slower A1, and offers a more cooperative hard group workout rather than a race.
A1 average speed ~36-40 km/h
A2 average speed ~34-37 km/h

If the roads are wet, a full rear fender with a flap that extends almost to the ground, so you don’t spray your friends’ faces
If it’s dark, lights–white on the front, solid red on the back–no flashing lights in the group, please.
