Board of Directors

As a nonprofit BC Society, Tripleshot is governed by a collective board of dedicated volunteers who share a love of the club.

Carlton Duff

President

After a sedentary lifestyle in Alberta, Carlton embraced the West Coast after moving to Victoria by commuting daily to work by bike, and he has been an avid cyclist ever since. Primarily riding road, you can catch him most Tuesday and Friday morning rides (but only when it’s either dry or light, rarely both). Aside from running (poorly), he has no other hobbies.

Matt Albee

Vice President

After dropping out of graduate school to race bikes, Matt never went back. He’s built a winery from the ground up and worn many different small-business hats. He has served on the board of a Chamber of Commerce and winery association.

Claire Townsend

Secretary

One of the club’s most prolific riders, Claire does it all: road, gravel, mountain and sometimes a little racing. She’s been a professional writer all her life and started (and still maintains) the club newsletter, the Spoke 'n' Word. Bringing her long history of competition and dedication to sport and community, Claire is part of the heart and soul of the club.

Suzy Sylvester

Treasurer

From the Women’s Clinic to a regular rider, Suzy keeps the club’s finances in check. She has cycled in some capacity all her life, and she’s volunteered in sport, community groups, and as treasurer on her condo association

Kevin Archambault

Director - Youth Liaison

A dedicated youth program parent, Kevin acts as the liaison between the board and our youth.

Lauren Westmacott

Director

While her sports background is mostly in swimming and water polo, since joining Tripleshot she has found that she really loves riding on dark, cold mornings in December and the community she’s found there. With a strong background in governance, Lauren brings plenty of board experience.

Rob Duncan

Director

An ex-professional forester who now finds adventures on bicycles rather than in the mountains, once Rob discovered the fantastic cycling community in Victoria he’s never looked back. Rob most enjoys long days of suffering on bicycles (but he also enjoys short days of suffering).  He’s also a newly-minted coffee snob who still enjoys a Tim Horton’s Double Double.

Lindsay Carswell

Director

Lindsay built a career in sport and event marketing. He helped launch the Gran Fondo Whistler and spent nine years at the BC Cancer Foundation overseeing their mass-participation cycling event. He’s been a member of three cycling clubs, and even founded a non-profit bike travel club that grew to over 100 members.

Adam Wright

Director

Although cycling has been part of his life from a young age, Adam started taking it more seriously for fitness in 2022 and joined Tripleshot in 2024. Since then, riding and engaging with the cycling community has become a central theme in his life. When he’s not on his bike or buried in research, you might find him cooking, baking, trying to read more, or connecting with family.

Julián Idrobo

Director

Julián’s connection with bikes goes back to a young age: two of his uncles raced semi-professionally and instilled in him a deep love for bikes (which also includes tinkering). Julián raced mountain bikes regionally in Colombia, along with swimming and a few triathlons through his teens and early twenties. A weekday ride regular, he’s also the board’s incumbent data nerd.
