Trying to find a pathway into this group and would love to find other riders game to ride at 9am or 10am or afternoons on weekends or weekdays. I average 24-25km/h and am good with 30-100km rides. You can see my profile on Strava (go back to last summer for more outdoor rides as I am just moving outdoors again) and see my results from Tour de Victoria’s 100km route in the link below. I can’t post a ride as not a leader nor have been able to join a 6am ride (too early for caregivers!) so here is hoping that the Monday 2:30pm ride is widened to include my pace which might be C (or B2 after some training) or some other existing ride leaders consider posting later ride starts. Seems there are later rides for mountain bikers or A-levels but would love some C levels or whatever I am to want to get a healthy sleep AND ride. Feel free to DM me on Strava. My TdV 100km results: https://www.startlinetiming.com/en/races/2023/tourdevictoria My Strava to explore, follow, or DM: https://strava.app.link/gL6XbpnZlIb If I am in the wrong group, let me know and maybe I will start up a cycling group for women who are caregivers and want to ride too.

Hi all, I was excited to see the 2:30pm ride listed then sad face when I saw it was for the A groups and a B1 (I just joined so would like to join a ride soon to find out my pace). Anyhow, I do have to ask… are there any riders who want a later ride start? I care for kids and dogs and I think the early start favours a certain demographic that is not mine and wondered if anyone else was in my boat? 9am onward would be ideal and I am good right up until sunset. Research shows that sleep is the most important health determinant and I just do not want to be at odds with having to stay up till teens arrive home safely only to get 5 hours of sleep for a ride. If anyone else wants a later ride, how does it work? DM each other to plan? Or find out how to become a ride leader so we can post our own later rides? I notice the mountain bike folk seem to have later ride starts but alas I am a roadie. Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

Hi all, I am new to this group as just joined. I see the rides listed on the website for different days of the week and some say which seasons they run or how length may increase from Fall to Spring. The events calendar looks pretty empty right now save board meeting type stuff. How do I know whether any of the weekly rides are happening or not? Obviously weather right now kind of sucks so maybe they are not happening? (Though I do have some gear for the weather but today I wouldn’t bother). Is there a way to confirm? I am not an early bird so the 6am rides will be a struggle so I don’t want to get up super early to make my way to a ride to find out it is not happening due to weather or time of season. But some days it is perfectly doable right now. Thanks in advance for your help. Valerie
