Hi everyone, A group of my colleagues at UVic have sponsored an Afghan scholar as a newcomer to Canada. He has been in hiding from the Taliban for over a year, and just made it to Canada last week. We have an apartment all set for him, but he would like to bike instead of taking the bus, so I am on the search for a hybrid type bike for someone 5' 10". We have a helmet and I'll give him a lock, but our (shortish) family can't supply the ride. If you have a bike languishing in a garage, shed or basement, I will gladly take it off your hands.
