Thank you to all the ladies who registered and showed an interest in attending this years Women's Clinic. For those who were not able to register, and may be interested in trying out a Tripelshot ride, you can join us as a member or for a test ride at Become a Member | Tripleshot Cycling.
Tripleshot Women’s Cycling Clinics are run by women, for women, in Victoria, BC. They are for women with little or no previous group road riding experience who are interested in learning the skills and techniques needed for safe group riding and for those who are already comfortably riding in groups but who want to become faster and more skillful. Now in our 10th year, Tripleshot Women's Cycling Clinic is holding all levels of the clinic simultaneously.
Register early for the early-bird special price and also to ensure a spot!
18 April - 6 June
8 sessions (7 on-bike)
Tuesdays from 6:00pm - 7:30pm
For all levels, road bikes or cyclocross bikes with drop bars are required. We are not able to allow e-bikes or flat handlebar bikes in the clinic because they are not conducive to safe group riding. This is what drop bars look like:

If you are still uncertain whether or not you have the right kind of bike, please send us a photo of your bike at tripleshotclinic@gmail.com.
The first session is off-bike and will focus on basic bike maintenance. This is where you will meet your coaches and the other women in your group. Seven on-the-bike skills sessions follow, held at various locations around the city from Beacon Hill Park to longer groups rides to be determined by the coaches. The clinic will run rain or shine; only hurricane-like winds will stop us. No make-up sessions.
During registration, you will answer a set of questions about your riding skills and comfort. We will use these answers to help us determine which group to put you in, and we will adjust groups as necessary up to the end of the first on-the-bike session. Some of the groups provide a series of skills and training sessions to get you more confident and comfortable on your bike and to help you learn skills needed to go on group rides. Other groups will work from the fundamental skills and teach techniques to make you smarter cyclists, more efficient and faster to enable you to join more challenging group rides.
The Skills
Below are some skills that we will introduce and things we will practice, depending on which group you are in:
bike handling;
safety drills;
group riding techniques (drafting and pacelines);
cornering;
how to ride hills better (climbing and descending);
basic bike maintenance;
group rides; and
team time trial practice.
Come meet like-minded women, improve your riding and get more comfortable riding in groups and have fun!
