If you are a C or B3 rider, our elder, Mark Ford and I often ride at about 9.30 on a Sunday. We will sometimes start about 8 and meet the group at Matticks. Sometimes a slower person will join us. Tomorrow we are meeting at Moka at 9.30 for coffee and leaving about 10a.m. for 30km. As the weather gets better and lighter earlier, on some Tuesday's and Friday's we will go to Moka at 7.30, have club coffee and start riding by 9 a.m. Of course we have a mid coffee stop and sometimes a coffee stop after. Sig had open heart surgery this morning. And is out of surgery now. I visited him two days ago and we texted last night. Ĥe was feeling ok and was relaxed. He was also excited as he had even more time to follow the Giro. He wondered if they could wake him up half way through the operation so he could see the end of Stage 18 Live. He had a blocked artery and had a heart attack when he met 2 friends for a 90k fast ride. SIX MINUTES unconscious , but breathing. One of the guys did chest compressions. I'm in touch with Chris Marshell and his partner Sharon. I will keep you posted. Stay healthy an hour and a day at a time. Paul Christopher
