I am not sure if I can comment here. MIVA has split from CBC. They will no longer be associated with them and hace chosen IMBA and private insurance. It is considerably less expensive for their members. I think 1/3 the cost. COTR is looking into the same. We have not the last 2 years as it would hae devistated Victoria National Championship participation. CBC has over promised and under performed for YEARS. They have very little expertise or desire to grow cycling as proven for decades with their lack of support for the grass roots. This has erroded the base and everything else is tipping over now. It can't keep going unchecked. The price for members can't go up and up and up each year while the benefit continues to go down. The sanctioning picture for events can't be a moving target that literally changes every year. They can't keep making is harder and harder to get people into the sport. That is failure for cycling in BC. That is what is happening and continues to happen. No support for the events we run. Not one good thing to say about CBC from anyone that puts on events. That is a failure for cycling in BC. We can't keep down the path of failure.
